For this week’s #ExerciseExplainer, let’s talk about the “Rainbow Lunge” – a fantastic total body move that’s as fun as it sounds! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

How to Perform the Rainbow Lunge:

  • Starting Position:
    • Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell with both hands.
    • Lift the dumbbell overhead, arms extended.
  • Side Lunge:
    • Transfer your weight to the right, lowering your body into a side lunge.
    • Create a beautiful rainbow arc with the dumbbell, bringing it to your right shoulder.
  • Return to Center:
    • Push off the lunging leg, bringing yourself back to the starting position.
  • Switch Sides:
    • Repeat the lunge on the left side, drawing another rainbow with the dumbbell to the left.
  • Flowing Movement:
    • Continue side lunging from right to left, drawing the rainbow overhead with your dumbbell, maintaining a steady rhythm.
